Dr. John Sealey received his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. he completed his general surgery residency at Michigan Hospital and Medical Center and his cardiothoracic and vascular fellowship at Detroit Osteopathic Hospital. He completed his bachelor’s degree at North Carolina Central University. For nearly 30 years, Dr. Sealey has practiced as a thoracic and vascular surgeon in Southeastern Michigan. He is board certified through the American Board of Osteopathic Examiners and the American Board of Osteopathic Surgeons.
Dr. Sealey is also an associate professor at the Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine. He supports the school’s Detroit pipeline program, mentoring students at various ages about pursuing and advancing their medical careers.
He has been published in several medical journals and is a member of numerous medical associations, including: the American Osteopathic Association, Michigan Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, and Detroit Medical Society. In addition, Dr. Sealey is a trustee for Michigan Osteopathic Association.
